In October 2024, the LRB team travelled to Malawi to create a pro bono film for Great Minds, Bright Futures – a charity dedicated to providing education opportunities for children in need.

What began as a filmmaking project quickly became something much more profound, and the team used their skills to bring awareness to the charity and events in the country.

During the trip, the team had the privilege of witnessing the charity’s work firsthand, capturing the stories and incredible resilience of the children and communities it supports.

What stood out to LRB’s team in the country was the transformational power of education and the tangible hope it brings to young people

And it was this story that led to the CEO and Founder of LRB, Luke Barnett amplifying the impact of the company’s work in Malawi.

Deeply moved by the experience and the impact of Great Minds, Bright Futures, LRB decided to go beyond simply documenting the story.

Barnett commented: “This has been a once in a lifetime experience, and is so much more than a filmmaking trip for us.

“In a meaningful show of support, the company has committed to covering four years of school fees for one of the children benefitting from the charity’s work.

“Although the aim of the project is to use our storytelling to bring awareness to the charity, we wanted to make a difference ourselves.

“Education changes lives, and we’re honoured to play a small part in that transformation.”

The film created by Luke and the team during the visit is set to be released soon and promises to shine a light on the charity’s inspiring mission.
